It has been used for molds and drill bits for resin molding machines, and has a proven track record in environments up to approximately 400 degrees with a film.
The characteristics of TiN film are that titanium (Ti) reacts with nitrogen (N) to improve hardness, enhance wear resistance, and reduce the coefficient of friction on the surface, which also improves sliding and peeling properties. Our company performs TiN coating using a vacuum deposition machine, and therefore it is necessary to remove contaminants, oils, and moisture from the product surface. The processing steps include removing discoloration and foreign substances with a special polishing cloth, removing oils with organic solvents, removing moisture with alcohols, and wiping the surface dry with cloths before inputting.
